鉴于当前博客风潮的兴旺，考虑到全球诸多博客们的需求，微软为我们带来了这样一款所见即所得(WYSIWYG)博客文章编辑发布工具，微软将它命名为Windows Live Writer。

Windows Live Writer目前支持以下类型的博客系统：
- Windows Live Spaces
- Blogger
- LiveJournal
- TypePad
- Wordpress
- All blogs that support RSD (Really Simple Discoverability)
- Metaweblog API
- Moveable Type API

实际使用中发现，这个工具并不能上传PNG或者JPG格式的图片。
